Mavericks Fail to Keep Up with Boston's Dominant Performance
The Celtics took control of the game from the start and never looked back, leading by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Mavericks attempted to mount a comeback in the third quarter, but the Celtics quickly regained their lead. Jason Tatum led the Celtics with 32 points, followed by Jaylen Brown's 29 points. Luka Dončić led the Mavericks with 23 points.
With this win, the Celtics take a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals and are now just one win away from securing the championship. The Mavericks will need to win the next three games to force a Game 7.
Game 5 of the NBA Finals will be played on Thursday, June 16, in San Francisco.
